You can recognise an encrypted connection by the character string β€œhttps://” and the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

2) Data collection when you visit our website

In the case of merely informational use of our website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called β€œserver log files”). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • Our website visited
  • Date and time at the moment of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/referral from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (where applicable: in anonymised form)

The processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively should there be specific indications of unlawful use.

3) Cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on your device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted again after the browser is closed (so-called β€œsession cookies”), while others remain on your device for longer and allow page settings to be saved (so-called β€œpersistent cookies”). In the latter case, you can find the storage period in the overview of the cookie settings of your web browser.
Insofar as personal data is also processed by individual cookies used by us, the processing takes place either in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent has been given, or in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the page visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or can exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.
Please note that if cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.

4) Contacting us

When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or email), personal data is processed – exclusively for the purpose of handling and responding to your request and only to the extent necessary for this. The legal basis for the processing of this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter concerned has been conclusively resolved and provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent this.

5) Data processing when opening a customer account

In accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, personal data will furthermore be collected and processed to the extent required in each case if you provide it to us when opening a customer account. You can see which data is required to open an account in the input screen of the corresponding form on our website. You can delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the above-mentioned address of the controller. After your customer account has been deleted, your data will be deleted, provided that all contracts concluded via it have been fully processed, no statutory retention periods prevent this and we have no continuing legitimate interest in further storage.

6) Use of customer data for direct marketing

- Newsletter dispatch via Sendinblue
Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider Sendinblue GmbH, KΓΆpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, to whom we pass on the data you provided when subscribing to the newsletter. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system for advertising. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. email address) is stored on Sendinblue’s servers in the EU.
Sendinblue uses this information to send the newsletters and to analyse them statistically on our behalf. For the analysis, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked. In addition, technical information is recorded (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymised form and is not linked to your other personal data; direct identification of individuals is ruled out. This data is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of the recipients. If you wish to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Furthermore, Sendinblue may itself use this data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of its own legitimate interest in designing and optimising the service in line with demand and for market research purposes, for example to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, Sendinblue does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass it on to third parties.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Sendinblue, under which we oblige Sendinblue to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.
You can view Sendinblue’s privacy policy here: https://de.sendinblue.com/legal/privacypolicy/

- Request for a review by email
After delivery, we send you an email once asking you to review the items you purchased. For this purpose, we use your email address, your first name, the order number and the items ordered. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in feedback on our products (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in conjunction with Section 7(3) of the German Act against Unfair Competition (UWG).
You can object to this at any time, via the link in every review email or by sending a message to info@papeliercreative.com, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs at the basic rates. After that, you will no longer receive review emails. The review link in the invitation is valid for 60 days; you can object at any time, including after that.

8) Web analysis services

Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which can be used to analyse the use of websites.
When Google Analytics 4 is used, so-called "cookies" are used by default. Cookies are text files that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of your use of a website. The information collected by cookies about your use of the website (including the IP address transmitted by your device, shortened by the last digits, see below) is generally transmitted to a Google server and stored and processed there. In this context, information may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC, based in the USA, and further processed there.
When Google Analytics 4 is used, the IP address transmitted by your device when you use the website is, by default and automatically, always collected and processed only in anonymised form, so that the information collected cannot be directly related to a person. This automatic anonymisation is carried out by Google shortening the IP address transmitted by your device by the last digits within Member States of the European Union (EU) or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA).
On our behalf, Google uses this and other information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on your website activities or your usage behaviour and to provide us with further services related to your use of the website and the internet. The shortened IP address transmitted by your device within the scope of Google Analytics 4 is not merged with other Google data. The data collected in connection with the use of Google Analytics 4 is retained for 2 months and then deleted.
In addition, Google Analytics 4 enables, via a special function, the so-called β€œdemographic characteristics”, the creation of statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of website users on the basis of an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the involvement of third-party information. This makes it possible to determine and distinguish user groups of the website for the purpose of target-group-optimised alignment of marketing measures. However, data collected via the β€œdemographic characteristics” cannot be attributed to a specific person and therefore not to you personally either. This data collected via the β€œdemographic characteristics” function is retained for two months and then deleted.
All of the processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for storing and reading information on the device you use to access the website, only takes place if you have given us your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your use of the website. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your withdrawal, please deactivate this service via the β€œCookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
In connection with this website, the β€œUserIDs” function is also used as an extension of Google Analytics 4. By assigning individual UserIDs, we can have Google create cross-device reports (so-called β€œcross-device tracking”). This means that, if you have given your corresponding consent to the use of Google Analytics 4 in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, your usage behaviour can also be analysed across devices if you have set up a personal account by registering on this website and are logged in to your personal account with your relevant login details on different devices. The data collected in this way shows, among other things, on which device you first clicked on an ad and on which device the related conversion took place.
In connection with this website, the Google Signals service is also used as an extension of Google Analytics 4. With Google Signals, we can have Google create cross-device reports (so-called β€œcross-device tracking”). If you have activated β€œpersonalised ads” in the settings of your Google account and have linked your internet-enabled devices to your Google account, Google can, if you have given your consent to the use of Google Analytics 4 in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, analyse usage behaviour across devices and create database models based on this. This takes into account the logins and device types of all website users who were logged in to a Google account and carried out a conversion. The data shows, among other things, on which device you first clicked on an ad and on which device the related conversion took place. We do not receive any personal data from Google in this process, but only statistics compiled on the basis of Google Signals. You have the option of deactivating the β€œpersonalised ads” function in the settings of your Google account and thereby switching off the cross-device analysis in connection with Google Signals. To do so, follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de
Further information on Google Signals can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=de
For our use of Google Analytics 4, we have concluded a so-called data processing agreement with Google, under which Google is obliged to protect the data of our website users and not to pass it on to third parties.
To ensure compliance with the European level of data protection, including in the event of any transfer of data from the EU or the EEA to the USA and any further processing there, Google relies on the so-called standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which we have agreed with Google by contract.
Further legal information on Google Analytics 4, including a copy of the aforementioned standard contractual clauses, can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
